Music:Before I go to sleep and head to Singapore later, just want to share two of the best songs ever for me.By Velvet Underground
I listen to these two songs alot when I'm up late at night/early in the morning, probably some of the most beautiful songs ever.If any song is capable of putting me to sleep with some sweet dreams it has to be these two.Freaking beautiful songs
I want this:Converse (PRODUCT)RED Leather Jacket Chuck Taylor All Star » converse-red-leather-jacket-5
"The Converse (PRODUCT)RED Leather Jacket Chuck Taylor All Star shoe debuts December 1st at The (RED) Store locations in New York, San Francisco and London.
Made up of a patchwork of motorcycle jacket inspired red leather, the shoe comes complete with a quilted lining, heavy-duty zips and snaps and a leather rand with clean emboss detail. The shoe is available in a high-top, red leather version and launches globally at temporary locations of The (RED) Store in New York City, San Francisco and London on World AIDS Day, December 1st as well as (www.converse.com) and select retailers globally. Shoes will retail for $200 and will be available in unisex sizing.
Ten percent of the net wholesale price of the shoe will go to The Global Fund help eliminate AIDS in Africa, giving consumers an opportunity to become agents of change."

This would really be nice for me,I've been looking for a high top and pretty much everything isn't exactly affordable except Converse but normal Converse Chucks are too common for me,something limited edition like this would be perfect for me.200USD isn't really a nice price but atleast knowing that it goes to a Fund that helps those in need I'd feel better bout it.Sad though knowing my country, these won't be available here.
Christian Louboutin Studded Louis Sneakers
"French luxury shoemaker Christian Louboutin debuted a small collection of men’s shoes for Fall/Winter 2009. Well known for his fiery-red soles, these pairs are no different, and the solo sneaker style, the Louis, returns for Spring/Summer 2010 completely studded out. Available in black or white leather, with a retail price of around $1200 USD a pair."

I know the brand is crazily acclaimed with making heels for women but never knew they make men shoes too.About studded shoes,I've had a concept of studded shoes in my mind probably cause studs has been quite in trend this year.(Personally,I think Rock and Roll will always be in style because when people are sick of being proper and looking decent they'd look for urban/underground culture). But I was imagining an all black shoes that are not that high and not that many studs, still an interesting pair of shoes though but 1200USD for a pair?Wow.

My photos:A trip to the waterfall
took this some while back.probably the lightest shade of black and white i've ever used for pictures and lowest contrast too.Ahh beauty of black and white, only 2 colours but there can be a a hundred shades and tones which can result in very different end results.

Rihanna-Russian Roulette
Rihanna along with Lady Gaga always have the most interesting of music videos.Always such dramatic and epic visuals. Not the strongest song from Rihanna though

New in my list of favourites:Fashion photographer Sebastian Kim
Born in Vietnam and raised in Tehran, Paris and Southern California, Sebastian Kim began his career assisting the legendary photographer Richard Avedon, and went on to assist famed fashion photographer Steven Meisel.
There's a certain touch of softness that I love in his photos and also lovely colours and hues. One certainly needs to be good to assist Richard Avedon and Steven Meisel, and I think Sebastian Kim is brilliant.Great to see a fashion photographer of asian heritage too,it's not very common since the fashion industry is dominated by the West.
Pictures are for Numero Korea,Numero,Vogue China

16th Nov. is the International Day for Tolerance
"We, the peoples of the United Nations determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, ... to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, ... and for these ends to practise tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good neighbours"
I say let everyday be day for tolerance and everyday we live together in peace with one another as good neighbours cause we all really are good neighbours there's no you and me,I believe we're all a part of a big big family.Different race, religion, nationality?Whats all these distinctions? We should stop being so ignorant and start seeing our similarities beneath all the differences.
The Buddha said:
"In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true."

music:indie music is the most amazing
this song is so beautiful,so solemn but beautiful,so dark but so beautiful,so mellow but so beautiful. Can't believe it only have like 7000views.One of my favourite sad songs in a long long time cause I usually listen to happy, cheerful, upbeat songs like the following.
so cheerful,so happy,so cute so sweet.I need to d/l their album now but my internet is f-ing with me damn.Another band from Sweden,I'm guessing Sweden must be a really happy country with all their songs sounding so happy and cheerful and sunshine all the time.Ironically do they even have much Sun up there? That I don't know but they sure are 1 happy nation, love Swedish music.Listen to em makes me happy and want to take a flight to Stockholm (which my finance doesnt allow)
Okay I've less to talk about this band, but still good music no doubt and they seem to be generating quite some buzz lately.Very youth and nice bass.

2012,watched and probably longest review I've ever written cause Im in the mood to write
"The moment we stop fighting for each other, that's the moment we lose our humanity."
that's a quote from the movie, which is no doubt my favourite moment of that movie I think I was at my most emotional ever during a movie during that scene.Call me a weirdo but I care bout humanity and I've always thought we should all contribute to "humanity" and we are all as one so please let us all be one with another regardless of the differences.
There's also a scene which a tibetan old lady said something like "We're all citizens of the world" that is a great quote too and how often ppl are unable to see that.We label ourselves according to nationality, ethnicity, religion, jobs, social classes etc etc.Yes I do appreciate varities in this world but whats underlying it all is that we're all really citizens of mother Earth we're all humans (that's a Baha'i principle that I really embrace even though Im not exactly a Baha'i by religion) and we're not that different from one another (especially when facing a worldwide crisis like end of the world).I really hope the people of Islam and the West who are always and still is fighting can see that soon. All these fighting about who's right and who's wrong, well there's no right and wrong. We're merely humans, sometimes the greater truth of right and wrong (Islam vs Christianity) is,and I truly believe, beyond our realm/capacity/abilities of knowledge. We should just see it as nothing but difference of perspectives.Believe in what you believe in and theres no need to interfere with others' belief as you won't like it if they interfere with yours.Jesus said and also one of the key Confucian principles "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you ".
Okay I went out of topic there, got abit too excited bout the topic of humanity anyway overall the movie's great.Totally my kind of movie I've always loved all these end of the world movies all the buildings crumbling, sea rising, people screaming, everything is falling apart in a big disaster kind of movies. The Day After Tomorrow was my fav. too.I like how they make it so emotional and so thrilling at all moments. The movie was way over 2hours but never was a tired moment for me the plot is great enough to keeps me excited from start till end. This has been a very dissapointing year for movies but thank God we still have a good big blockbuster like this. And oh seems like they learned a new way to add some fun to a movie, put the russians with their ascent in lol always add so much fun to a movie, such interesting ascent they have.

music:some world more like african music Tony Allen & Jimi Tenor-Selfish Gene
take a listen if you guys never heard of world music,it is definitely fresh something compared to what's always there on the radio.I'm not that familiar with Jimi Tenor, but Tony Allen is rated one of the best drummer alive, plays mainly afrobeat and a definite legend in African music scene.I guess South Africa World Cup 2010 won't be that bad after all for the least they'd have good music to entertain.
