Hedi Slimane "I Love USA" short film
like most short films it hardly make any apparent sense, but the black and white visuals are worth indulging in.
Rihanna - Only Girl In The World
Why do Rihanna and Lady Gaga makes the most visually inspiring MV everytime ?
Kanye West feat. Kid Cudi, Pusha T, John Legend, Ryan Leslie - Christian Dior Denim Flow
I'm glad he's back cause I've to say Im so sick of listening to Eminem kind of hip hop on the radio all the time. I've to say I wouldve stopped listening to Hip Hop so long ago if not for Kanye West, production is totally of the supreme and noone brings so much depth to a genre like he does. Nov. 22nd 2010, release date for his next album also the date which i gets to savour some real good music.

Flying Lotus- mmmmmmhmmmmmmmm
I'd be myself guilty if I don't share these amazing sounds, discovered Flying Lotus couple months back and he's already one of my favourite artists. His album Cosmogramma is arguably the best I've heard this year and ever.

Randomly I felt like rhyming.
So lazy,
So idle,
Nothing crazy,
Not a riddle.
Just of nature,
What I long to be,
No my soul has no fracture,
I am just being essentially me.
I long, inspirations,
Opens up my mind, gives me enthusiasm,
No need those that revolutionized nations,
Just those that drew Picasso to Cubism.
Everyday living, but not doing life,
Time spent with joy but of no purpose,
Stay content or for the better should I strive,
Classic old riddle, what is Life suppose...
no clue.

Music:Ou Est Le Swimming Pool
My fascination with British bands can always only get stronger and stronger. American bands, i don't know why y'all just lack the attitude and that peculiar distinctiveness(okay this is expression limitation) of them Brits. Not to be taken as I don't like all American bands of course its more like I absolutely love them Brits more.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley by Mert & Marcus for Love Magazine Fall 2010
Top in my most anticipated movie list. Feng Xiao Gang's "Aftershock"
this film has been breaking records in the Chinese Box Office, and me being a lover of chinese films definitely wouldn't want to miss this which is said to be a truly emotional movie. Sadly it seems that my local cinemas are not going to show it. How truly unfortunate I am.
Back here
No studies till next January would definitely leave a void in my life, so I guess I'd get back to blogging and also here in blogspot cause I found some limitations in tumblr. I might blog a lil bit differently than before, see where the moods take me.

Daisy Lowe's trailer video for Esquire UK July 2010
It's something like a trend now,to have a video trailer accompanying editorial shoot in a magazine not that i'm complaining I've always liked videos. Sometimes its better to see things in motion. This video though I've to say would make a good tv ad for a strip club, I say that in a half complimentary way.

Music:The Black Keys' new album is super rocking
Their last album didn't quite catch my attention, but just on the direct opposite their new album got my ears open. Every song is so blasting I can't even find words to describe, a very fun album to listen to,very very fun. The songs are upbeat, the instrumentals are catchily played. Catchy thats what I would say. Not a Miley Cyrus or Jonas Brothers catchy, but two good musicians making REAL professional adult tasteful that requires some sort of technical depth and creativity kind of catchy. Enjoy. Have to say my favourite one of the year yet.

this maybe old but still to me the best commercial ever
Illustrations by Takashi Murakami really give such an overwhelming feel of joy,the visual experience is almost spiritual. Makes you happy, just like some kind of Indian Yoga really it's amazing and plus the always joyous and sophisicated tune of Fantastic Plastic Machine as soundtrack. Marc Jacobs, you're a genius for this collaboration despite how unlikely it was. A classic French Brand well known for it's dedication to it's classic monogram and quality and a contemporary Japanese artist that draws anything but classic illustration.

Style....
A person gotta be able to both dress up and dress down
A person gotta be able to be both buffed up or skinny as a stick
A person gotta be able to both wear glasses or not wear glasses
A person gotta be able to both wear long pants and short pants
A person gotta be able to not give a fuck of how she looks like
A person gotta be able to be fine with our without make-up on her face
A person gotta be able to be fine being comfortably stylish in a t-shirt
A person gotta have attitude, alot of it. Personality, the only thing that shines through.
I've seen people who try so hard to be 'in trend' or 'stylish' or whatsoever but still there is something lacking in them, something like a character.Without it no matter what you dress you're still hollow and there won't be tht sense of glow. It isn't about how you dress,it's how you carry yourself.
To me style icons are people like Johnny Depp,Keith Richards/Mick Jagger those that can actually pull off supposedly ugly looking suits and stil shine and also females like Kate Moss who is such a character that the clothes wish to wear her...
Personality,Character,Attitude
I don't know why am I writing this but I guess I'm really sick of fashion/trendista talking about trends and what's on the runway or what's in this season and never about the most important thing of being stylish which is a sense of identity,a character that is yourself. People can tell you how to dress but they can never teach you how to be a stylish and inspiring person.
Again,
Personality,Character,Attitude. Plenty of it
(all those being said I do believe that there are definite fashion don't,like faded colour tshirts with really messed up collar and also those really badly cut light blue jeans that look like they took a time travelling machine from the old 70s/80s and arrive here at this space of time)
but other than tht,its all about personality.
